All Charged Up

 Hey everyone! 

It's already August! (Hard to believe, right?) In some ways this year has seemed to move so slowly, in other ways so incredibly fast. We had pushed the charge date to August 1st for those of you who still have outstanding balances for your pledge, but now we are going to push it again. This will be the last time, but we figured there's no harm in giving you an extra month to hold on to your money. So...September 1st is the new date. Like last time, if you had planned for your card to be run now, we can still do so if you email [email protected]. Otherwise, next month it is. 

For the actual production, we are looking really good. Anthony is sending the new minis to the manufacturer this week to start the process of getting molds created and also putting final touches on other production files. As we get updated by the manufacturer, we'll be sharing  our progress. 

In the meantime, we will be launching our latest game on Kickstarter next week and would love to see you there. House of Rath is our second game in the Endangered Orphans world and is a lot of fun. If you like the idea of getting infected and dooming humanity in the world of Who Goes There?, this game is for you! You can click on the link below to opt in and get notified when we launch.

LOCKDOWN FEVER?

It's the end of June! So for all our backers that use credit cards, you know what that means, right?

So...rather than locking down the orders and charging credit cards today, we are going to hold off another month. We are grateful to get most of the orders in and ready to go, but knowledge is really all we need to move forward with quantities. If you used PayPal, you have already paid, but this does give you some time prior to locking the orders to make any changes if you want.  This is really for those of you that could use a little more time without having to worry about paying for something that won'd deliver for quite a while now. 

That said, if you have been budgeting and planning for your card to be charged and would still like to pay today, we can individually lock and charge your order. Just send a message to [email protected] and he'll take care of you. If you are among the 13% of the backers that haven't completed your survey yet, please do so when able. If you are holding off on completing it because of finances, we completely understand and don't want you to feel pressured. We'll figure it out when you are ready.  

Most importantly, however, you can always use this time to add (or remove) SUGAR PONIES and the QUEST for the COTTON CORNS (or anything else you may be thinking about)!  :)

We hope you are all having a great summer and staying healthy! The team has been working hard to finalize everything for production, and we're looking forward to sharing more progress soon.

A MINI UPDATE AND A NOT SO "THINGY" THING

Happy Saturday, everyone!

First, just a quick thanks to all of you for completing your pledge manager so quickly. We already have 79% of the surveys complete, which is great. For those of you that haven't yet completed yours, remember—we won't be charging any cards until the 1st of July. (If you use Pay Pal, however, that gets charged immediately, so keep that in mind.)

Meanwhile, the team continues to work towards getting everything ready for production, so we thought this would be a good chance to see Anthony's progress on the minis.

We often rave about how awesome our backers are, and we really believe it. In true "we're in this together" spirit, we also wanted to share this wonderful gesture one of our backers made.

For those of you that aren't able to see the videos, the "Mini Update" shows where Anthony is with his modeling of the new characters, and "Congrats, Chase!" is a quick shout out that an anonymous backer has sponsored another backer and we simply thought it was a very non-Thingy thing to do and worth mentioning. Otherwise, you didn't miss anything important.

WGT? PLEDGE MANAGER

Hey everyone! 

BackerKit surveys are coming!

We are starting the pledge manager process today, so you’ll soon receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards. We will send about 10% of the surveys today as a way to make sure there are no issues. After 24 hours, we'll send the rest, so you should all receive the survey by the end of day tomorrow. 

As a reminder, we did not collect any shipping fees during the campaign, so this is where those fees will be assessed once you submit your address. This is also where you'll make choices such as which add-ons you'd like, which box art (if you are getting a deluxe box), or which expansions, etc... We realize this is probably a terrible time for many of you financially, so even though you will be supplying your credit card information, no charges will be run until the beginning of July. We are giving an option for Pay Pal as well, but I believe these charges may happen automatically, so be mindful if you want to delay the charge Pay Pal may not be the best option. To restate this because I feel it's important:

Credit cards will be charged JULY 1, 2020

PAY PAL will be charged IMMEDIATELY.  

To be transparent, it is important to get your response as quickly as possible so we can get a sense of quantities for production, but for those of you that are facing tough times, DO NOT LET THIS STRESS YOU OUT. If July isn't far enough away for you to feel good about these additional expenses, just don't complete your survey yet. It won't go away in July. The risk is us ordering enough quantities, but we intend to order at least a small percentage of extras, so you should be ok. Most importantly, just know we will work with you the best we can. There will be a time when we just can't wait any longer, but we'll warn you ahead of time. 

YOU ALREADY HAVE ITEMS IN YOUR CART!

Please keep in mind your pledge already has the items that were associated with the varying tiers you pledged for during Kickstarter. For example, if you pledged for the BASE CAMP tier in Kickstarter, the base game is already in your cart, so don't add another unless you actually want two.  Of course, I know you are all eager to add Sugar Ponies Quest For Cotton Corn, so don't forget that! :)  This is also a chance for you to add any other Certifiable game or item from the past that you may have missed. 

For those of you that may be at the $1 level (or any level for that matter) and want to switch pledge levels, you can still do so at the beginning of the process. It's not as obvious as I would like it to be, but you can do so by clicking the SWITCH YOUR PLEDGE LEVEL link below the GET STARTED BUTTON. 

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email! After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

WHAT DO WE DO NOW?

Hey everyone! We funded! Thank you! 

 Now that the campaign is over, it's time for us to move to the next phase.

THE PLEDGE MANAGER IS COMING SOON 

The pledge manager will be released in approximately 3 weeks. This will be your opportunity to give us your address, pay for shipping, add other items, or to make your choices of which box art or expansions you'd like.  This is also the time you can make any other adjustments such as switching pledge levels. We are incredibly grateful so many of you backed our campaign in a time of uncertainty and look forward to moving this as fast as we can, but also want to honor those of you that may not be financially able currently. When the pledge manager comes out, we will ask you to complete it as quickly as possible so we can know what quantities we'll be ordering, but probably won't charge anyone for shipping or additions until late June. I'm hopeful this will give everyone a chance to breathe a little.  For those of you that had a failed charge attempt by Kickstarter, please don't fret. If you are unable to fix it now, you'll have a chance when the survey is sent out for sure. In the end, just know we still have lots of flexibility to make changes and there's no reason to reach out until after the pledge manager.
